What is the application?
In classical IVF treatment, the eggs are collected and processed after maturation. In IVF treatment, eggs collected before ripening are matured in the laboratory. The aim of this treatment is not to give the drugs used to ripen the eggs to the patient and to protect their bodies. During treatment without IVF, a small amount of hormone may be administered to the patient.
The collected eggs are kept in certain liquids in the laboratory and matured. In the next step, the sperm from the male is injected into the eggs by microinjection method and the obtained embryos are put back into the uterus as the last step.
Who should choose IVF?
Some of the patients were found to be susceptible to drugs used in IVF treatment, and fluid accumulation in the abdomen and lungs and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) could be seen. Non-drug IVF treatment is especially preferred in patients with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) who have this sensitivity and high probability of developing OHSS. It can also be used in patients with endometriosis, in patients with poor response to drugs, and in male infertility.
Drug-free IVF treatment is an ideal method for cancer patients where hormone therapy is strictly prohibited.
