Endometrial Receptivity Assay Test
What is ERA Test?
ERA test (Endometrial Receptivity Array) is a preferred method in cases where there is a problem of uterine retention despite the transfer of good quality embryos.
With the Era test, it is possible to predict that, whether the uterus will accept the embryos before transferring them to the uterus, and the success of pregnancy rate according to the day, when the embryo transfer is performed.
Post-test findings suggest that some couples may increase pregnancy success.
How is ERA Test Applied?
In the ERA test, tissue taken from the intrauterine membrane of the patient to be treated is analyzed. A small piece of uterine tissue is removed on a given day in a natural menstrual cycle or during hormone-stimulated treatment of patients considered for the test.
The piece is analyzed by advanced molecular and genetic diagnostic methods. During this analysis, the activity of more than 200 genes that play an important role in embryo attachment is measured. Within 2 weeks, the measurement results are evaluated and the potential of the patient’s uterine tissue to accept the embryo is determined. The embryo transfer day is arranged according to these results.
